Lie Detectors
Lie Detectors is an independent, journalist-led news literacy project that deploys professional journalists into classrooms to start a conversation with children aged 10-15 about online disinformation and the functioning of the traditional media industry. Lie Detectors is non-political and its remit universal. It takes no funding from corporations including internet platforms. It aims to create honest conversation between citizens and journalists and to harness a European community of media-literacy initiatives that use best techniques for specific target groups. Lie Detectors is a member of the EU's advisory high level working group on fake news and the 2018 Winner of a EU Digital Skills Award for its work in education.
